Special exhibitions are held under themes such as the history of railways and the local history of the Shiodome neighborhood.
Video Display
It is possible to view videos on plasma displays that tell of the historical circumstances behind the opening of the railway, the appearance of Shimbashi Train Depot in bygone days and the vibrant state of Shiodome.
History of Shiodome Area
Chronological tables and maps showcase the changes in the Shiodome District and the history of the development of the railway.
Scale model of old Shimbashi Station
This shows the overall picture of the Old Shimbashi Station that has been reconstructed in a model with a scale of 1:100 and explains the basic policy of its design.

Floor Window over Remains of Station Building Foundations
Part of the floor of the 1F Exhibition Hall is glass-sided, so it is possible to see the remains of the station building foundation stone as it was when it was opened. You can see in person part of history with the front entrance steps and the pointed end of the platform.

Large Ceramic Tile Reproduction of Hiroshige’s Shimbashi Station
This is a reproduction of the “Tokyo Attractions: Shimbashi Shiodome Steam Car Railway Station Stop” by Utagawa Hiroshige III on a large porcelain panel. Hiroshige III is known for drawing realistic works. This piece became one of the reference materials in determining the color tones of the building stones and exterior when reconstructing this station building.

Excavated Relics
This is a display of remains dug up in an excavation survey. This includes Western pottery used by hired foreigners, metal products used in railway work (e.g. ticket punches and tools) and train earthenware teapots.
