Toshiyuki Hasegawa 2000/10/14 - 2000/11/19 The paintings of Toshiyuki Hasegawa (1891-1940), whose brief, itinerant, life ended with his death in extreme poverty at the early age of 49, depict the scenery and everyday life of Tokyo's traditional working-class districts in bold drawing and warm colors. His enigmatic lifestyle and achievements will be reflected in an exhibition of 130 works including watercolors, drawings and paintings on glass as well as about 100 oil paintings.
