The surrealist artist Max Ernst (1891-1976) used the revolutionary techniques such as collage and frottage to create an extraordinary unique world. This will be first large-scale exhibition of Ernst's sculptural work ( which he started to explore in 1934 ) in Japan, and will include about sixty pieces of sculpture as well as oil paintings and documentary photographs.
