TEKISON UDA: Painter of Kyoto Landscapes in Four Seasons 1997/04/05 - 1997/05/18 Tekison Uda was one of the most significant painters in the Kyoto Circle of the Taisho and Showa eras. He studied under Hobun Kikuchi and Keigetsu Kikuchi. Tekison synthesized classic tradition and realism with poetic elegance into many scenes of Kyoto. This exhibition of 50 representative works and 20 plain color drawings recalls the beauty of traditional Yamatoe in contemporary fashion. Artist: Tekison Uda |
