HITOSHI KOMATSU: A Transcendental Hermit 1996/11/02 - 1997/01/15 Hitoshi Komatsu was a nature painter who lived a life of self sufficiency in Ohara, Kyoto. He was recognized as a Living Cultural Asset by the Japanese government in 1986. His works are borne from a unique view of nature and have strong appeal. This exhibition presented 40 major works including the Mogami River series, Ohara, and Mt. Fuji. Artist: Hitoshi Komatsu |
