Shiro Kobori is a great Japanese western-style painter, who keeps his distance from artistic circles. This exhibition, celebrating his ninetieth birthday, displayed 108 works from his earliest efforts to his most recent, including drawings and a large work shown for the first time. A special display of works by his teacher, Takeji Fujishima, was also included.
