Nostalgic Western Architecture of the Meiji Era drawn by Zenjiro Chikaoka 1990/02/21 - 1990/03/25 Painter Zenjiro Chikaoka was charmed by Western-style buildings in the Meiji Era and made it his lifework to continue painting them throughout the pre-war and the post-war periods. Two hundred thirty-eight color sketches and original paintings, including some donated for postage stamps were selected for this exhibition. Artist: Zenjiro Chikaoka |
