This exhibition presented 66 large paintings by 33 active Japanese painters such as oil painters Teruo Onuma, Hiroshi Okutani, and Shozo Shimada, and Japanese-style painters such as Shingo Hoshino, Tomoyuki Takizawa, and Aguri Uchida, under the assignment, "Humanity and the Present." Each painter sought the potential in figurative painting and the exhibition endeavored to discover a vision of tomorrow's painting as art.
